Federal Energy Efficiency Tax Credit – 2017 Status

The federal tax credit for high-efficiency HVAC products ended on December 31, 2016, while solar tax credits are extended through 2021.

There have been inquires about the possibility of an extension of tax credits for 2017. As the new Administration and Congress reviews tax policy, we have to wait and see if these credits will either be extended, modified or eliminated. Gustafson Heating & Air cannot speculate on the likelihood of an extension, modification or elimination, but our manufactures Government Affairs Department continuously monitors tax related legislation and will communicate any additional information as it becomes available to us.
