A geothermal HVAC system is able to harness the thermal energy that naturally exists below the ground’s surface. The thermal energy can be pulled from underground or a large body of water using a system of loops. The loops are basically a series of underground pipes which collect the thermal energy and move it to the geothermal heat pump which then converts that thermal energy into warm air to heat our homes. These systems are far more energy efficient than traditional furnaces and are the most energy-efficient option on the market.

The initial cost of a geothermal HVAC system is more expensive compared to most systems, however, this is because drilling or digging will be involved to install either vertical or horizontal loops. Vertical loops are installed in places where you don’t have a lot of space for digging, and most homeowners opt for this solution. Horizontal loops can actually be cheaper to install, but require more land for digging. WOW, what a great job Gustafson Heating and Air Conditioning did for my wife and I. They were professional, fast, and way less expensive than the others we looked into. I received a number of quotes to install a whole home humidifier. Gustafson was amazing from start to finish. I was able to handle everything over the phone without needing an additional in-person quote with a number of upcharges. I spoke to a gentleman who walked me through options by seeing pictures of my setup and was extremely knowledgable on what was necessary to ensure I was getting the correct humidifier for my home. The pricing was extremely competitive compared to the others and was not full of hidden charges. When I called, they were able to get an appointment set up within a week. The service tech was on time, courteous, cleaned up after himself, and walked me through the whole setup.

Purchased a mini-split (AC / Heat Pump) unsure if I’d be able to install it or not.
